Love, Life, and Lineage, CARP Las Vegas Online Winter Retreat

From December 20 to the 26, CARP Las Vegas hosted their biannual seven day workshop with the theme: Love, Life, & Lineage. A total of 22 participants joined in their online retreat from both the local Las Vegas area and from out of state.

This retreat’s content was a culmination of the two day retreats from the semester and gave CARP Las Vegas leaders a chance to go even deeper into CARP’s Principles and its Founders, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon, affectionately known as Father and Mother Moon. They talked about God’s Original Plan and Nature, the Problem of Evil, the Process of Restoring, and Father and Mother Moon’s Life and Legacy.

As is CARP Las Vegas custom, the content was prepared and given by CARP LV leaders. This time, the presenters were Kailey Granstrom, Chungbom Katayama, and Kobe Neuhaus. The final presentation led participants to take the next step in their own life of faith and prepare for a fulfilling future by taking a purity pledge.

“Overall my experience was incredible, I enjoyed all the lectures, enjoyed the discussions, and I had fun! I think learning about how to restore ourselves spiritually by practicing what Jesus taught and having integrity between our mind, body, and spirit had the most impact for me because it'll help me have a purpose for this integrity and keep me pushing towards this life of faith to become oneness with God's heart. It'll help me with mental clarity to be able to stay consistent with practicing what I preach or what I know is right.” - Abraham Salazar

“Over the past two semesters, I have really come to know that God is right there in my heart, even through my darkest hours of CARP.  I always had this concept that they were far away somewhere and I had to report only good things, but I've learned the value of really being open and honest in my prayers. However, in listening to the lectures over the past seven days, I've realized that I need to not only be honest but also listen to what God is trying to tell me.” - CARP Leader
