1-Day Retreat

CARP DMV (DC-Maryland-Virginia) held a 1-Day Retreat at the CARP Center in Maryland on October 21, 2023. CARP students have been reaching out to young people at Montgomery College and the University of Maryland to inspire them to learn universal principles and make a positive impact on campus. Volunteers from the CIG Missionary program supported outreach efforts as well.

In collaboration with GPA missionaries, 22 young people participated in the CARP 1-Day Retreat. Among the participants, four students heard universal principle lectures for the first time. The program began with icebreakers, then three lectures delivered by CARP leaders and CIG missionaries. These lectures focused on God’s Purpose of Creation. The final lecture introduced Rev. Moon and Mrs. Moon's activities aimed at creating world peace. It featured youth organizations like CARP, PWPA, and IAYSP, which demonstrate their investment in future generations. Participants enjoyed the retreat and were able to connect with CARP students, fostering personal growth and leadership development through the CARP chapter.

Culture Night

On October 20, CARP DMV and volunteers from the CIG Missionary program jointly hosted a captivating Culture Night event at CARP House. The event was meticulously crafted to showcase the vibrant intercultural dimension of our movement and to foster meaningful connections with our CARP guests.

The evening unfolded with a delightful culinary journey, featuring traditional dishes from five different countries: Japan, Korea, Peru, Switzerland, and the Philippines. Participants had the opportunity to savor the rich flavors and diverse cuisines, immersing themselves in a global gastronomic experience. After eating, We did Karaoke to sing songs in different languages. The event not only displayed the richness of our intercultural community but also laid the foundation for building lasting relationships with our CARP guests. It exemplified the values of harmony, diversity, and togetherness that are at the core of our mission. In the spirit of intercultural exchange and unity, Culture Night at CARP House was a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on all those in attendance. We look forward to more opportunities to come together and celebrate the beauty of our diverse world.
