CARP Bay Area Shares Unification Principles

This September CARP Bay Area hosted its first Unification Principles (UP) seminar of the semester! The seminar kicked off on the evening of September 23rd via Zoom with participants joining from UC Berkeley, Chabot College, and young adults from the Bay Area Family Church community interested in furthering their education in the Unification Principles.

In addition to providing a space for young adult participants to learn Unification Principles, this seminar was a learning opportunity for many CARP leaders to become proficient presenters and coordinators for their event.

A total of 16 young adults participated in this seminar with two participants learning these principles for the very first time.

New participant Raymon shared that attending this seminar “has also opened up the idea of eventually starting a family one day hopefully with the person I love,” and, “it's showed me that there's a lot more to religion than just singing and praying. There's a need to help others around you and close to you, in order to make living more [of an] enjoyable experience since the purpose of life is to enjoy it with the people around you.”

For others like Pauline who’ve previously studied the content before, getting a refresher of the main concepts of the Unification Principles from fellow young adults was insightful.

All in all, it was a great first seminar and a good kick-off to the remaining UP seminars of the semester!
